Change the battery in your thermostat or controller as a first step in several fast solutions. If you are using a hand-held controller, be sure you are standing close to your system and that there is no obstruction in the path between the controller and the system. Avoid pressing the buttons quickly as this can overburden the controller’s tiny computer with commands. Instead, press the buttons slowly and thoughtfully.
