The Wildflower Arts & Music Festival is one of the best music festivals in Texas. Plano is just north of Dallas, so it’s a bit of a drive from Austin, but it’s worth the trip. The festival has been going strong for over 40 years now, and it’s grown to be one of the largest music festivals in the country.
You’re probably used to massive music festivals with huge audiences and big musicians, but Wildflower is more about the community than who’s onstage. Four outdoor stages include worldwide headliners, local, regional, and national talent. The Singer/Songwriter Contest and Stage features up-and-coming musicians. Kidz Korner offers a petting zoo, strolling musicians and buskers, interactive displays and exhibitions, the Art Guitar Auction, the Wild! Marketplace, and The Taste of Texas Food Garden.
